SEND & SEMH Education Roles – Teachers & Support Staff | East Sussex
SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex are currently looking for educators who can provide consistent, supportive classroom environments for pupils with additional needs.
These roles involve working with pupils across both primary and secondary settings who may require extra emotional, behavioural or learning support to access education. Schools are looking for staff who can bring patience, structure and a calm, reliable presence into the classroom.
We are currently seeking both teachers and classroom support staff who are open to opportunities within SEND and SEMH settings across the county.

Who This May Suit
These roles often suit individuals who:
Have experience working with children or young people
Are calm, reliable and consistent in their approach
Enjoy building positive relationships with pupils
Work well as part of a team
Are interested in supporting pupils with additional needs
Experience within SEND or SEMH is beneficial but not essential. Many schools are open to supporting candidates who are willing to learn and develop in the role.

A child-only DBS is required. If you do not currently hold one, you will need to apply and pay for a DBS and register it on the Update Service. Support is provided throughout the process

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
