Overview
Join to apply for the CCTV Control Room Operator role at Sandwell Council.
You will be expected to work as part of a team to monitor and operate all systems within the Control Room in an efficient, proactive and reactive manner. Systems include CCTV, door-entry control and intercom communications. You will gather evidence of breaches of tenancy, anti-social behaviour and acts of a criminal nature. You will communicate with and assist residents, members of the public and all partners as required.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and operate all systems within the Control Room, including CCTV, door entry systems and intercoms using the relevant operating procedures, legislation and Codes of Practice.
* Liaise, exchange intelligence and actively promote partnerships with the Police, Sandwell Environmental Protection Officers, SMBC Officers and other Enforcement Agencies to ensure the appropriate and targeted use of all systems.
* Provide an efficient, appropriate and courteous radio, intercom and telephone answering service and deal efficiently with all enquiries to a satisfactory conclusion.
Qualifications
* A Level 2 certificate for CCTV Operatives is required for this post.
Hours
4 on 4 off shift pattern, 29.5 hours per week.
