We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our renowned Employment team, in Birmingham!
The role
We seek an enthusiastic employment law solicitor to join the Employment, Pensions and Immigration National Service line (NSL), based in Birmingham. You will advise employers on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters across the health and care sector, and engage in business development to promote the firm's practice.
The Birmingham team handles varied work across sectors including health and care clients (private and NHS), commercial clients (automotive, manufacturing, retail), and higher education institutions.
The person
You will have at least 4+ years' experience as an employment lawyer, gained in a reputable law firm or through in-house experience.
You should be self-starting, possess common sense and initiative, and work well as part of a team on complex matters. Excellent time and document management skills, keen attention to detail, and experience managing your own matters and delegating to juniors are essential. Building strong client relationships and having excellent interpersonal skills, including influence and persuasion, are also important.
Previous experience supporting health and care clients is desirable.

* Ability to lead on Employment Tribunal and advisory matters with appropriate supervision at senior associate level
* Experience delegating to junior team members
* Ability to build relationships with clients and potential clients
* Excellent research skills and proficiency with online information sources
* Interpersonal skills, including influence and persuasion
* High IT proficiency
* Marketing and business development skills
* Previous advising experience with large employers
* Advocacy experience
