I am a 24 year old young man looking for a Personal Care/Home Care Assistant to join my support team. Ideally you will have experience of supporting and promoting independence in someone with Autism and other medical conditions e.g. epilepsy, mental health and mobility.
My disabilities have a big impact on my physical and mental health and I need support with day to day living and healthcare needs each day.
When I am well, I enjoy a variety of hobbies such as playing guitar and spending time with my dog.
You will receive:
1. £10.50-11.56 per hour depending on experience and satisfactory completion of probation, competencies and training
2. A pension if eligible
3. 5.6 weeks per year pro rata
4. Full certificated training on all aspects of the role
Hours available:
5. Minimum of 24 hours per week. This is to be worked in one 24 hour shift including night sleep in, on a 4 week rota
6. On rare occasions there may be the opportunity to work additional hours in relation to holidays and sickness.
What’s Required:
7. Support with aspects of personal and medical care
8. Experience of dealing with medication handling and administration (desirable)
9. A full driving licence and own vehicle with relevant insurance is essential
10. Flexibility in working hours essential, night shifts are also required
11. Weekend work essential.
12. Reliability and professional approach to work.
13. Comfortable with dogs, as there is pet dog in residence
14. A caring, compassionate, kind and enthusiastic nature and a desire to make a difference in someone’s life
15. Good communication skills both spoken and written and computer literate.
16. You must have the right to work in the UK.
