Registered Veterinary Nurse (Animal)

Requirements
* Demonstrable experience as a veterinary nurse.
* Nurse consulting experience.
* GA monitoring experience.
* Well‑honed surgical etiquette and quarantining procedures.
* Veterinary Nursing Degree or equivalent.
* Team player.
* Great communication skills.
* Initiative and ability to work independently.
* Practice Management system experience.
Main Purpose & Goals
* Clinical Excellence
* Understand and implement all clinical practice protocols.
* Ensure the highest standards of clinical nursing care to our patients.
* Ensure all relevant new communications and protocols are understood and followed.
* Participate in the nurse consult rota as necessary and help in the delivery of this valuable service.
Key Responsibilities
* Conducting screening procedures, including auscultation and sample procurement.
* General anaesthetic monitoring and record keeping.
* Recording accurate and comprehensive clinical notes.
* Administering treatments, as directed.li>
* Disinfecting surgical rooms, medical equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of clinical workspaces to a high standard.
* Aiding veterinarians during invasive and non‑invasive procedures and protocols.
* Tending to unsettled animals with urgency.
* Monitoring and maintaining stock levels.
* Boosting pet owners' knowledge about routine and specialised caring procedures.
* Although you will be mainly based at one site, you may be required to cover shifts at other sites as necessary.
