Job Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Controller to join our MG Dealership in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team ahead of our new dealership opening in June / July 2025. MG is one of the fastest growing automotive brands, with an extensive list of new models lined up for release. The successful candidate will be part of this exciting journey.
You will work Monday to Saturday, with a day off during the week, and Sundays on a rota basis. You will get one Saturday off per month to enjoy a full weekend off. Working hours rotate between 8am to 5pm & 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on Saturdays, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
Benefits include a company car and an OTE of £62,000.
Role & Responsibilities
This role involves assisting the Sales Manager in staff training and coaching. You will be expected to meet sales targets for new and used cars within operating and financial guidelines.
* Customer Satisfaction (CSI): Build trust, communicate effectively, and exceed customer expectations to ensure an industry-leading buying experience. Handle customer queries and complaints effectively.
* Maximising Opportunities: Support the sales team in daily operations such as customer contact, deal building, closing, and vehicle preparation. Maintain stock levels as per company guidelines.
* Maximising Profit: Drive the sales process, support KPI achievement for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products. Conduct vehicle appraisals, negotiate with customers, and ensure sales and profit targets are met.
* Data Quality and FCA Compliance: Complete all sales paperwork accurately, provide reports as needed, and ensure customer data collection complies with FCA regulations.
What we’re looking for
* Experience in car sales, with aspirations for better rewards and promotion opportunities within the Listers Group. Candidates may currently be Car Sales Managers, Controllers, Retail Managers, or Sales Executives seeking management roles.
