£18 - £25 per hour. Temp-to-perm role. Company van supplied.
Working hours: 8am – 5pm. Fuel card available. Upskilling and development in a positive flexible environment.
Location: Maidenhead, Hampshire postcodes (SL).
At an established Housing Association, you will work in our “voids” team, carrying out repairs, planned works and turning around empty properties to a finished standard ready for relet.
You must hold a full UK driving licence – a company vehicle will be supplied.
Start date: mid‑November 2025.
Key Responsibilities
* You will be working in Hampshire postcodes.
* Turn around void (empty) properties safely and timely, achieving a finish to be proud of.
* Demonstrate a core skilled trade (carpentry, plumbing or a wet trade) and perform a range of multi‑trade duties:
o Plumbing works (same‑type).
o Tiling – mainly splashbacks.
o Painting and decorating.
o Patch plastering.
o Second‑fix internal carpentry.
o Kitchen fitting.
o Bathroom upgrades.
o General property maintenance.
* No electric or gas work will be required.
* Experience with voids or refurbishment of empty residential properties, ideally in social housing.
* Deliver high‑quality work that meets finished specifications for quick relet.
* Complete a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks in each property.
* Work closely with schedulers and planners to meet contract SLA delivery.
* Advise the supervisor on any issues or challenges that require additional support.
* Work independently or with a team when other trades are required.
* Complete daily worksheets detailing work undertaken and materials used.
* Work in a timely and productive manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in at least one trade, or ability to show “time‑served.”
* Own 110 V power tools and hand tools.
* Basic IT skills – use of a PDA.
* SOR codes knowledge desirable.
* Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works.
* Previous experience of social housing repairs, voids or planned works.
* Adherence to company health and safety guidelines.
* Collaborative work with stakeholders.
* Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
* Attention to detail, accountability and initiative.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* You must hold a full UK driving licence – a company vehicle will be supplied.
