Science Teacher – Secondary Location: Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire Salary: M1 – UPS3 Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-term GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Science Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hull. This role is ideal for a teacher with a passion for inspiring students and delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Science Teacher Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across KS3 and KS4. Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning styles and abilities. Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Promote practical, hands-on learning experiences and scientific inquiry. Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment. Contribute to extracurricular science activities and clubs. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop schemes of work and cross-curricular projects. Science Teacher Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification in Science. Experience teaching secondary Science, with strong understanding of the national curriculum. Ability to deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service, or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
