About the Role
As a Technical Analyst (Service Support), you will play a central part in ensuring the provision of robust, reliable, efficient, and secure IT services across the University.
In this varied role you will:
● Provide advanced troubleshooting and support to the university Service Desk team.
● Have opportunities to conduct technical research, needs analysis, system development, implementation and documentation with our Continual Improvement initiatives.
● Provide essential support to achieve operational excellence by creating, maintaining, and implementing standards, policies, processes, and procedures including supporting disaster recovery planning.
● Work collaboratively with ITS teams and the Project Office to design and transition new services and manage changes to existing services, ensuring success by working closely with application development teams and other colleagues.
About You
We are seeking an engaged and enthusiastic professional who is ready to make a significant impact across the University community.
You are a natural team player who is adept at working through problems and challenges. You bring a customer orientated approach to service provision and have strong communication, interpersonal, negotiating, and presentation skills.
You apply an analytical and systematic approach to problem solving and have a solid foundation in developing and implementing technical infrastructure in support of IT system delivery. Crucially, you know how to work calmly and systematically in a demanding environment, effectively prioritising tasks to meet agreed deadlines. You are self aware, recognising your limitations and proactively seeking support when necessary. You are motivated by operational excellence and driven to contribute towards project success by ensuring deadlines are met and informing risk mitigation strategies.
Working Arrangements
We support hybrid working. While our team is based at the Headington Campus in Oxford, we are happy to explore flexible arrangements that balance remote work with time spent on campus to foster team engagement and collaboration. There is an expectation to be on campus at least one day per week.
