Progress your engineering career as an Engineer Surveyor in Allianz Engineering Inspection Services. You will visit client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment and installations. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor you will also receive our unrivalled induction training programme.
Responsibilities
* Anticipate client needs and help them comply with the relevant legislation.
* Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team, managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
* Prepare reports of examination following your inspections using electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to clients.
* Carry out hands‑on inspections of various plant and equipment, such as lifts, material handling equipment, cranes and construction plant.
* Manage the physical demands of the role, working at height, in confined spaces, lifting and climbing in both hot and cold conditions; exposure to noise and dust is expected.
About You
As an Engineer Surveyor you will assess a wide range of installations and anticipate our client’s needs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Lift and Crane discipline.
* Make well‑informed decisions and take responsibility.
* Plan short, medium and long‑term work, diary scheduling of meetings, visits and task allocations.
* Travel effectively within your local allocated work area.
* Process documentation and complete general administration promptly.
* Support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
* Show passion for engineering, be self‑driven and interact with a variety of clients daily.
* Have a background working with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, and hands‑on experience in roles such as manufacturing, repair or maintenance.
* Display strong customer interaction skills, with good oral and written communication.
Essential Skills
* NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical related subject.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Strong time‑management skills – self‑sufficiently organise your week’s work effectively.
* Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of your working day.
Desirable Skills
* Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
