MCL Property Adjuster

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Property Adjuster to join a growing and well-established adjusting business, handling a portfolio of mid to complex losses across the Midlands and South. This role offers a high level of autonomy, a varied caseload, and the chance to deal with more technical and higher-value claims.
The Role:
1. Manage a caseload of Mid & Complex Loss (MCL) property claims from first notification through to settlement
2. Conduct site visits to assess damage, determine cause, and validate claims
3. Handle a mix of domestic and commercial property losses, including higher value and more technical claims
4. Interpret and apply policy wordings, terms, and conditions to ensure accurate coverage decisions
5. Produce detailed reports (including ABI reports) within agreed service level agreements
6. Liaise with insurers, policyholders, brokers, contractors, and other stakeholders to progress claims efficiently
7. Appoint and manage specialists (surveyors, engineers, contractors) where required
8. Provide clear technical guidance and maintain strong communication throughout the claim lifecycle
9. Proactively manage your diary and caseload, ensuring timely progression and resolution of claims
10. Attend re-visits and maintain accurate file notes and documentation
About You:
11. Proven experience in property loss adjusting or strong background in property claims handling
12. Experience dealing with mid to complex losses is highly desirable
13. Knowledge of both domestic and commercial property insurance policies
14. Ideally qualified (or working towards) Cert CILA / CII or equivalent
15. Strong investigative, analytical, and decision-making skills
16. Confident communicator with the ability to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
17. Highly organised, self-sufficient, and able to manage a remote, field-based role
18. Full UK driving licence required
