Accountant | Warrington | £40,000-£45,000 | Hybrid
I'm currently working with a large, well‑established organisation in Warrington who are in the early stages of exploring the addition of an Accountant to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ideally part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA) and looking to continue developing within a supportive, structured finance environment.
Role Responsibilities
* Preparing monthly management accounts
* Posting journals (accruals, prepayments, etc.)
* Completing key balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintaining the fixed asset register
* Supporting VAT returns and statutory compliance
* Assisting with year‑end processes and external audit
* Producing monthly financial reports
* Ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records
* Contributing to improvements in processes and internal controls
* Supporting budgeting and period‑end requirements
Who this would suit:
* Part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or actively studying
* Strong grounding in core accounting principles
* Experience in an accounting or month‑end environment
* Good Excel skills and strong attention to detail
* Someone looking to grow within a large organisation
Working Pattern & Benefits:
* Hybrid working (office/home split)
* 40 hours per week
* 23 days holiday + bank holidays
* Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
