Great News! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Department. Wre looking for a dedicated individual to be a fundamental part of the Dr Oetker (UK) Ltd Laboratory Team that is responsible for, carrying out a wide range of analysis on raw materials, finished products and environmental samples.

1. Carry out routine analysis of raw materials and finished products to written procedures, maintaining records of results and reporting of any non-conformances for trend analysis.
2. Assisting with recording and investigating out of spec and non-conforming products.
3. Carry out routine environmental monitoring, advise and support hygiene nights team with cleaning practices.
4. Perform any additional environmental monitoring such as air plates, water analysis etc as required, responsible for reporting any non-conformances.
5. Input the data and results into the SAP QM system and all relevant databases in a timely manner.
6. Preparing any media required within the labs.
7. Registering samples to be sent to External Laboratory for analysis and monitoring the results.
8. Responsible for the safety, legality and quality of all products and processes within the remit of the role. Responsible for the legal duty of care owed to employees and others.
9. Provide cover as required for all 4 labs including Microbiology, Chemical, Raw Material Intake and Food Technology laboratories.
10. Support additional tasks as requested by the Laboratory Manager or Senior QA Manager to meet and support the Quality Assurance process.
WHAT YOU BRING
11. Minimum 4 GCSE's in Math and Science subjects or equivalent Qualification in Microbiology and/ or food hygiene.
12. Work experience in a laboratory/ Food Manufacturing environment. Experience gained in a frozen food manufacturing environment/ QA.
13. Excellent interpersonal skills
14. Excellent computer literacy, Word, & Excel
15. An effective communicator (oral and written)
16. High levels of accuracy and numeracy
17. The ability to interpret and evaluate results
18. Self-motivated with practical and data rational
19. Flexible & detail conscious
20. A team player
21. Good organization and time management skills
