The Capital Projects Group (CPG) is Glencore’s dedicated organisation for developing and delivering selected major capital projects across its global Commodity Departments. Working within the Life of Asset (LOA) management process, CPG supports selected major projects from post concept development, starting at pre-Feasibility (PFS entry) and guiding them through Feasibility, Execution and handover. CPG collaborates with the respective Commodity Department and regional team to shape, develop and execute major projects with safe, predictable capital productivity.
CPG operates with agility and deep expertise to develop fit-for-purpose delivery models that maximise regional capabilities and skills for each project. As Glencore’s portfolio and LOA plans evolve, CPG aims to enhance impact and influence, driving safe, responsible and sustainable project delivery.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, potentially complemented by a project and/or business management qualification(s).
* Minimum 15 years’ project management experience, ideally in senior project engineering and/or project controls on an execution project, with experience in asset operations or related functions.
* Proven experience (5+ years) in project reporting, financial analysis, or performance management in a complex, global environment.
* Experience in the mining, energy, infrastructure, or commodities sectors is highly regarded.
* Strong analytical, modelling, and presentation skills.
* Understanding of project management software, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and advanced Excel.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
Main objective
The primary objective is to generate and maintain an overview of the progression of the CPG portfolio across the range of commodity integrated and advisory projects, providing in-depth analysis and performance insights.
Portfolio progression
* Actions relating to performance or risk mitigation on active projects visible to the CPG Leadership Team.
* Actions responding to requests from Group or Commodity Departments to support new or emerging activity, stand-up of CPG capability, and tracking initial results.
* Actions within functions to progress CPG capability in operating model, management systems and tools, and organizational capability.
* Actions delivering Group requirements and supporting Group Functions’ annual plans and performance cycles.
This position creates and owns the CPG annual plan, collating functional and cross-functional workstreams to continually improve capability and delivery of capital productivity, while integrating with Group requirements.
Operating context
The Capital Projects Group partners with Glencore Industrial divisions in delivering projects from Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility through Execution and handover to Operations. The role confirms and maximises project value by developing scope, engineering, execution plans and cost estimates; during implementation, the Project team delivers a functioning business that realises the business case and provides assurance across the portfolio.

The Portfolio Performance Manager is a member of the CPG Leadership Team and works with the CPG Leadership Team, Project Directors, Project Integrators, and Group Functions.
