Within GORSE, we are passionate that all children excel, regardless of their background or additional needs. We are, therefore, incredibly excited to advertise for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Education, Health and Care Co-Ordinator within Little London Bridge, a Resource Provision for children with Autism and/or Complex Communication Needs, which opened in January 2025.

Little London Bridge joins our pre-existing resource provisions, Rainbow Base and Horizons. We will cater for over 130 primary and secondary students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) by 2026, with Little London Bridge benefiting from the expertise currently available to us from across our trust, whilst forging its own identity within the Little London community.

We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant and Education, Health and Care Co-Ordinator who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of both our children and their families. This colleague will manage and lead on the review of our growing number of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s), in addition to actively supporting with the co-ordination of our families’ wider needs, such as attendance, safeguarding and family support. In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have a small class-based commitment to support with the effective day to day running of the provision.

You Will Be An Outstanding Practitioner Who


* Ensures the appropriate setting and reviewing of support targets included in EHCPs.
* Is able to lead on timely review meetings, including collating/distributing reports and leading the meetings in accordance with Local Authority guidance.
* Will ensure all statutory requirements, and internal academy requirements, regarding pupil’s individual paperwork is up to date and accurately reflects the child and their needs.
* Will log consultations on receipt and ensure timely responses are issued to the local authority, working alongside the Director of Specialist Provision to ensure that placements are appropriate.
* Forms positive relationships with families which allow for appropriate challenge and support for all, therefore cultivating positive outcomes for pupils.
* Desires a leading role in the creation of innovative and exciting approaches to parent and family support.
* Is able to maintain strategic oversight of our family support offer to all.
* Will support with the effective day-to-day running of the provision, providing valuable support to colleagues within the classroom when required.

The successful candidate will also have the following experience and attributes:

* Experience of working with children and families whose lives are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, complex language and communication needs and/or other complex specialist educational needs.
* A proven track record of excellence with regards to high quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s).
* Passion for supporting parents and carers, with knowledge of external support services for signposting.
