Role Detail
As an Events and Conference Facilitator, you will play a vital role supporting the Events and Conference Manager in delivering a wide range of high-quality training courses, conferences, and briefings. This position is ideal for someone eager to advance their career in events, offering opportunities for growth and development within the team.
You will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and smooth execution of both on-site and external events, covering topics such as business development, leadership and management, health & social care, the built environment, education, public services, and media.
Managing your assigned portfolio, you'll support all aspects of logistics, liaising with tutors, delegates, speakers, sponsors, corporate partners, and suppliers while consistently delivering excellent customer service.
This hands-on role requires flexibility and a proactive approach. You should be prepared to occasionally work outside regular office hours to ensure the seamless delivery of events.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Coordinate a diverse range of training courses, conferences, and briefings, overseeing all communication and administration tasks.
* Serve as the main point of contact for delegates, tutors, speakers, sponsors, and suppliers, actioning their requirements promptly and professionally.
* Book rooms and venues, order catering, arrange room set-up, and create essential event documents and training materials.
* Develop and build conference agendas, carefully identifying and inviting suitable chairs and speakers to host and moderate events.
* Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure agendas align with event objectives and audience needs.
* Plan and organise exhibition spaces in collaboration with the SPD sponsorship team and external venues to meet event specifications.
* Collate and analyse feedback from delegates and stakeholders for post-event reporting and continuous improvement.
* Operate within a cost-conscious environment, managing budgets and controlling costs related to training courses and events.
* Manage relationships with corporate clients, develop exhibition plans, and ensure all contractual agreements are fulfilled regarding speaker and seminar slots.
* Deliver outstanding on-the-day support and customer service, meeting and greeting delegates, tutors, speakers, and sponsors.
* Delegate tasks to team members during events to maintain excellent customer service standards.
* Complete all post-course administration efficiently and accurately.
* Contribute to the daily reception duties and operations of Adelphi House, reporting any building issues to the building manager as necessary.

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
