We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly look for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities include:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and great service.
* Encouraging customer feedback through the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Practicing safe working procedures based on received training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit goals.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following store policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately at the start and end of shifts.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment to ensure safety.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
* Potentially managing the shift in the absence of a Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legal compliance.
* If applicable, duties include managing the Post Office operations, which requires passing a background check for financial and criminal records. Failure to pass these checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
