About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into classrooms in the absence of teaching staff, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning. You’ll be a valued part of the school community, helping to ensure continuity and progress for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
* Delivering set work to classes across KS3 & KS4
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policy
* Supporting students to stay on task and complete their work
* Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
The ideal Cover Supervisor will:
* Have experience working in a similar role or in a school environment
* Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* Be confident, flexible, and able to adapt to different subject areas
* Show a genuine passion for education and pupil development
* Be proactive, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and supporting young people
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
* Proven track record or relevant school-based experience
* A current, enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
* Relevant references to support your application
* Willingness to attend a face-to-face registration and complete necessary vetting checks
