The role To innovate and develop products to exceed our customer expectations, through demonstrating a digital and innovative mindset that is constantly driving efficient and compliant processes to deliver exceptional value for money through products that make our customers look and feel amazing! Responsibilities Work on own product area and have previous garment technology experience Receive support and guidance from product technologist to further development and knowledge. Set and keep on track with KPI’s and performance objectives, as outlined by Q&F manager’s, update line manager in regular 121’s. Maintain quality standards and processes for relevant categories, leveraging 3D technologies and digital tools. Utilise 3D fitting avatars/block library where relevant, to ensure that efficiency and consistency is driven through our fit process. Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory compliance and sustainability standards, advising on necessary compliance actions and raising with Q&F managers. Conduct quality benchmarking exercises periodically, to ensure we’re exceeding customer expectation and monitoring developments within the marketplace. Working closely with buying, design and suppliers, where applicable; evaluate and develop the product range to deliver exceptional quality for the customer, ensuring it is on time and from the right supplier for the product type. Effectively engineer products to support net margin improvements for your dept. Communicate & engage with the wider business team both internal and external to promote product benefits to the customer. Analyse, understand, report and act upon customer feedback and returns metrics. Research and benchmark new Technical Innovations, Product developments. Awareness of product presentation and packaging requirements, improving customer experience. Communicate & evaluate supplier and service provider performance acting on issues and recommending improvements. Monitor and maintain all product information on Critical Path and data files. Growth in Profitability – reduce returns rates due to improved fit and quality, value and Customer perception with less quality issues at source, reduced sampling, reduced defects and reduced non-compliance. Providing support and training for new/ junior members of the team. Support & deputise for Senior tech/ Quality & Fit manager when required. This is not an exhaustive list and in the interests of the day-to-day operation of the business the successful candidate may be required to carry out work that is not detailed in this job description What we are looking for Product Technical Degree / or Industry Equivalent Qualification 1-2 years within technical specific role preferred Technical Expertise in relevant products including but not exhausting, experience in garment fitting, testing legislation, chemical management, fabric knowledge, concept engineering. 2D/3D capability/ knowledge, experience is not essential but preferred. IT skills – competent in word, excel and power point A good communicator, able to liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally. Our Head Office is located in the Northern Quarter in Manchester City Centre. Our full-time working hours are 36.17 per week over 5-days. We don’t have strict working hours therefore there is some flexibility around start and finish times as long as you are meeting the needs of the business.
