About the Role Connex Education is working with a Primary School in Birkenhead that is recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 1 with SEN and challenging behaviour. You will be supporting the child throughout the school day, helping them to access the curriculum and engage with learning in a calm, structured, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, proactive, and experienced in working with children with additional needs. Assignment Details This role is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, starting in January 2026. Person Specification Qualifications A Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered. GCSEs or equivalent Level 2 in Maths and English. Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
