Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our multi purpose venue. The Black Bull is currently undergoing a refurbishment of the event space. This will become a new restaurant for the area, along with the already existing bar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a focus on organisation. As the venue has several rooms attached to the portfolio, it will require strong control of overall venue. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage and motivate a diverse team while ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of business operations, restaurant, bar and rooms.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Manage inventory control.
* Supervise staff, providing training and support to enhance team performance.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
* Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring satisfaction.
* Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Skills
* Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
* Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in barista duties or hotel management is advantageous but not essential.
