We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to joinour friendly, patient-centred dispensing and teaching practice for 5 sessionsper week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).
Gibson Lane Practice serves a population of approximately 11,500patients across three closely located sites in Kippax, Garforth and MonkFryston. Our clinical team comprises 5 Partners and 5 salaried GPs, supportedby a well-established, approachable and hardworking wider team. This role is ideally suitable for GPs with a minimum of two yearsexperience in Primary Care who are keen to work in a progressive practice. Weare committed to continuous improvement and welcome innovative thinking and newways of working. We have recently updated our access model and are activelyworking towards Total Triage as our primary route for patient access.

Main duties of the job
The Salaried GP will deliver high-quality medical care to the registered population in line with the primary care contract and relevant local and national guidance. Responsibilities include the effective management of long-term conditions, safe and appropriate prescribing, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical records.
The post holder will manage clinical administration efficiently, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and associated tasks, and will participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis. The role requires collaborative working, sharing workload equitably and contributing positively to the wider practice team.
The GP will adhere to clinical guidelines, policies and audit processes, contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives, and accept delegated responsibility for specific areas such as QOF where appropriate. Attendance and active participation in practice meetings is expected.
The role includes involvement in clinical governance, appraisal and revalidation, participation in audits, and engagement in the review of significant and near-miss events. The post holder will maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development and support the training of medical students.
The GP will work with partners to support the strategic aims of the practice, including contributing ideas to enhance service delivery, improve patient care and support the efficient use of resources.

Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
The provision of services commensurate with the primary care contract
Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
Effective management of long-term conditions
Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
