Why Youll Love This Role Competitive pay: £21.00£24.50 per hour, paid weekly Shift options: 4 on / 4 off or Sunday to Thursday (start time 18:00) No handball: All loads palletised and loaded/unloaded by forklift Modern fleet: Well-maintained vehicles with full operational support Facilities: Free on-site parking and excellent driver amenities Career growth: Temp-to-perm roles available with a stable company Reliable shifts: Consistent start times and working hours Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 (CE) HGVs on night trunking and general haulage routes Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects promptly Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS and digital tachograph systems Complete up to 23 drops per shift, primarily depot-to-depot or trunking runs- No handball Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and ensure compliance with driving regulations Secure loads following health & safety best practices to ensure safe transport Deliver excellent customer service representing the company professionally at all times Requirements Valid Class 1 (CE) licence, UK CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card Minimum 2 years experience driving Class 1 HGV vehicles Maximum 9 points on licence; no DR or IN endorsements permitted Comfortable working night shifts starting at 18:00 Strong knowledge of EU driving hours, WTD regulations, and health & safety standards Good communication skills with a professional and reliable approach Ready to drive your career forward in Newport?
