We have an exciting opportunity in our Cancer Business Unit within our Haematology department as a Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting our Lymphoma patient pathway.
Responsibilities
You will be joining an established team of dynamic CNS's, delivering specialist nursing while maintaining and developing a quality service. You will act as the patient’s advocate, ensuring privacy and dignity, and provide advice and support to junior staff and learners in all aspects of delivering high‑quality care.
This role will also provide support, advice and education to patients and significant others in managing their care.
Qualifications
Substantial nursing experience in Haematology or oncology nursing at band 6/7 is preferable. Practical skills such as non‑medical prescribing, bone marrow biopsies, and blood transfusion prescribing are preferred. Candidates must be flexible, reliable, patient focused and willing to work closely with the consultant team in delivering patient‑centred care. The role may require working between Derby and Burton sites, though the posts are predominately based at Royal Derby Hospital.
