As a Design & Technology Teacher ,you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that nurture students’ creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills across a variety of DT specialisms. This opportunity offers both day-to-day supply and long-term placements, making it ideal for teachers who thrive in hands-on classroom environments and enjoy inspiring the next generation of designers and innovators. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Design & Technology lessons in accordance with the national curriculum. Teach across key DT specialisms, including Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Graphics. Encourage and develop students’ practical, technical, and creative abilities. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to departmental goals and whole-school development. Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed workshop or classroom environment at all times. Assess students’ progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback to support improvement. Uphold high standards of behaviour, participation, and classroom engagement. DT Teacher Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology. Experience teaching DT in UK schools is desirable. Excellent classroom and workshop management skills. Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
