Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity SurveyorHuddersfield | £40,000 - £60,000+ DOE + BenefitsOverviewAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established commercial interiors contractor specialising in hospitality and leisure fit-out projects across the UK.You will take responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring strong cost control, accurate forecasting and profitable project outcomes.Projects range from small works schemes through to major fit-out and refurbishment projects valued at up to £3 million, offering excellent variety across pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure venues.The RoleJoining an established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality interior fit-out projects, you will work closely with the commercial and operational teams to manage projects from pre-construction through to final account.You will take ownership of the commercial management of live projects, ensuring cost control, accurate forecasting and strong financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.Working on pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure projects nationwide, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on budget and commercially managed effectively from initial award through to final account settlement.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging project costs from inception through to final accountPreparing valuations, variations and applications for paymentProducing cost reports and financial forecastsMonitoring project performance and profitabilityProcuring subcontractor and supplier packagesObtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotationsNegotiating subcontractor accounts and final settlementsProducing take-offs, estimates and cost plans where requiredSupporting project delivery teams with commercial and contractual mattersBuilding and maintaining strong client and supplier relationshipsEnsuring robust cost control across multiple live projectsAbout YouTo be considered for this role, you will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in hospitality and leisure fit-out or a closely related interiors-based construction environment.You will already be operating within a contractor or specialist subcontractor environment, with direct experience delivering commercial or fit-out projects such as pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels or similar leisure schemes.You will be confident managing multiple projects, with strong commercial awareness and the ability to take ownership of both financial performance and client relationships.RequirementsProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity SurveyorStrong commercial management experience across live projectsExperience within hospitality, leisure or interior fit-out construction environmentsExperience with valuations, variations and final accountsExposure to estimating or tendering (advantageous but not essential)Strong understanding of procurement and subcontractor managementAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong organisational and analytical abilitiesProactive and commercially driven approachRelevant construction or Quantity Surveying qualification beneficial but not essentialWhat's On Offer£40,000 - £60,000+ DOESalary flexibility for exceptional candidatesProfit-based Christmas bonusCompany pension scheme28 days annual leave including bank holidaysGenuine long-term career progression opportunitiesExposure to a wide range of hospitality and leisure projectsStable and growing business with an excellent industry reputationOpportunity to play a key role within a collaborative commercial teamTPBN1_UKTJ
