Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £52,400 to £71,200 and London £57,700 to per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

The FCA’s Regulatory Framework Policy team (in Cross Cutting Policy) oversees and coordinates the FCA’s input and approach to key aspects of the UK’s legislative and regulatory framework for financial services, and its reform. Our work is fast-paced, high-profile and impactful, we strengthen regulatory coordination between regulators to help the financial services sector understand, and plan for regulatory change by delivering the Regulatory Initiatives Grid. The Regulatory Initiatives Grid is a key strategic publication, which facilitates collaboration between regulators and helps the financial services industry plan for initiatives that may impact on them. This works contributes directly to the FCAs aim to become a smarter regulator and support growth.
We manage legislative vehicles for the reform of the regulatory framework (this includes coordinating the FCA's input to any forthcoming financial services bill and its delivery on behalf of the FCA). We also seek to ensure that accountability is a strategic strength across the FCA, and that our accountability requirements are proportionate.
What will you be doing?
1. Overseeing and ensuring effective planning and executing the delivery of the Grid to ensure its published on time and to a high standard
2. Maintaining, improving and developing dashboards to visualise information and data by taking ownership of the team’s data strategy and making sure our processes deliver high quality management information, analysis tools, external reporting and data visualisation
3. Shaping and delivering long-term automation of the Grid, ensuring we continue to develop our use of data and adopt new tools (including AI) and processes to create the best products we can
4. Taking forward tasks and prioritising workload, spotting emerging issues and making informed judgements about when to escalate them and when needed, Pivoting to support other deliverables across the team
5. Working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs, while achieving continuous improvements, as well as working effectively with external stakeholders to deliver our overall objectives
6. Developing high-quality papers and proposals for Executive committees, CEO forums, and for external communication

Minimum
13. Experience of managing and using data; and data and visualisation tools to create insightful analysis, judgments, recommendations and presenting key findings within a policy environment
14. Experience of drafting, with the ability to write succinctly
15. Prior experience building rapport and constructive relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
Essential:
16. Strong data manipulation skills to conduct analysis, spot trends and provide insights, including the ability to transform data into formats that can easily be processed or analysed using tools like Excel
17. Strong data visualisation skills - including the use of tools like Tableau or Power BI – to create charts and visualisations that help users understand their significance and tell a story
18. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to identify and support key internal and external stakeholders, build and maintain constructive relationships, and win their support
19. Evidence of excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information in a way that is accessible to a range of recipients
20. A self-starter who is able to learn about new tools and processes and develop over time
21. Ability to take responsibility for decisions and actions as part of a project team, escalating matters when appropriate
22. Proven policy or strategy project experience that includes leading and coordinating key projects or large programmes, managing multiple complex issues to challenging timescales to successful completion
