Location:Local to Shrewsbury area
Orion are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and remains calm under pressure.
As Buyer you will be working part of a team with responsibility for buying a range of electro-mechanical parts for production, this will include metal work electronics through to electrical items.
Buyer responsibilities:
* Execute daily procurement activities with speed and accuracy to keep production lines running.
* Sources competitive quotes, evaluates supplier options, and raises purchase orders promptly.
* Monitors delivery schedules to prevent downtime and ensures materials meet strict quality and specification standards.
* Quickly resolves issues related to pricing, delivery delays, or product non-conformance to maintain workflow continuity.
* Tracks and expedites deliveries, proactively following up with suppliers to avoid production delays.
* Organizes and manages procurement documentation, including purchase orders and project files, ensuring full traceability.
BuyerExperience:
1. 2 years experience in procurement or purchasing within an engineering and manufacturing environment
