A plastic manufacturing business based in Tamworth are looking for a toolmaker to join their team. This business has recently been give a £6m investment into the site to enhance the production, turning them from 5 day manufacturing to 24/7. As a toolmaker you will be based in the toolroom working on making and modifying tools. This role i s not an operator or setters position.
Responsibilities of a toolmaker:
* Repair and maintain injection moulding tools.
* Carry out PPM to agreed schedule.
* Identify spares requirements and log usage.
* Take ownership of smaller less complex specific tool suite to develop and maintain performance with minimal supervision.
* Operate Forklift Truck and lifting equipment.
* Support new project tooling from commissioning stages through to start of production.
* Assist in tooling trials.
