The role will suit an experienced Senior Legal Counsel stepping into a General Counsel position. It is a fully office-based role in the Heathrow Airport Area (5 days a week).

You will be able to take a strategic view of our exposure to risk and give necessary advice to mitigate it within our multi-faceted and expanding business. You will provide legal advice and support to management on all relevant issues.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide accurate and timely legal counsel to executives on various topics (commercial agreements, dispute resolution, corporate finance, and commercial law).
* Oversee all complex legal transactions from a project management perspective, ensuring appropriate input from all stakeholders and specialists.
* Lead risk management strategies within the company.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Handle Company Secretarial duties.
* Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents as appropriate.
* Manage external counsel and consultants to ensure the company receives value for money.
* Clarify legal language or specifications for internal stakeholders.
* Maintain current knowledge of legislative changes and developments.
Skills & Experience
* Legal Qualification – Qualified UK solicitor with at least 10 years PQE experience (considering other PQE levels and qualified lawyers from other common law jurisdictions eligible for QLT).
* Excellent knowledge of corporate law, with emphasis on corporate finance, dispute resolution, and contracts.
* Methodical approach with attention to detail.
* Strong commercial outlook and pragmatic legal approach.
* Solid training from a reputable law firm and/or business environment.
* Proven experience as a legal counsel in a fast-paced business setting.
* High professional ethics and integrity.
* Sound judgment and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Approximately 8 years of experience in a small to medium national law firm before transitioning into business.
