Job Description Veterinary Surgeon – Grow Your Passion for Medicine in a Supportive, Forward-Thinking Practice Salary: £38,900 - £68,600 (Pro Rata) Hours: 40 hours/week, 4-day week, 2:9 weekends (Part-time considered) Are you a Vet with a medical bias, or a budding interest in ECC or imaging? Fancy joining a progressive team right before their big leap into becoming a 24/7 hospital? This could be the perfect opportunity to take your next step. We’re looking for someone with a real passion for internal medicine – someone who wants to develop and grow a caseload, support inpatients, and enjoy the variety of GP consults. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team that genuinely cares – about patients, clients, and each other. Our clinic is modern, well-equipped, and designed with both pets and people in mind. Think spacious consult rooms, multiple theatres, separate cat and dog wards (yes, we’re cat-friendly certified!), dental and x-ray suites, and a diverse caseload that includes medical, surgical and in-house orthopaedics. With our transition to a full 24/7 service just around the corner, we’ll soon have a dedicated night team handling emergencies and overnight care – giving you the confidence to hand over cases and focus on your day work. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to work somewhere that actually does things differently. As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, our mission is to make veterinary care accessible to all, and we reinvest in our teams and services to do just that. No upselling, no corporate fluff – just honest, high-quality care. What’s in it for you? 6 weeks’ holiday (including bank hols) Certificate-level CPD fully funded – UK or international Private health care Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Sickness benefit (52 weeks) Mental health, financial and life counselling (after 12 months) RCVS and VDS fees paid Pension scheme Cycle to Work & E-Car schemes Discounts through Vivup Refer-a-Friend bonus A genuinely inclusive, welcoming culture We’re all about equal opportunities and building a workplace where everyone feels they belong.
