Job Description Summary
Based in Dundee, Scotland, the Global Currency Template Project Manager provides project coordination and guidance related to the development of bespoke automated banknote identification software, driving the template development process end to end. The successful candidate will work with local country contacts to provide guidance and advice during requirements gathering and testing of the bespoke country templates. They will then liaise with NCR Atleos developers or third parties responsible to ensure those requirements are achieved. The role involves working proactively with each country to identify opportunities for issue avoidance and service enhancements, fully understanding current and future bank note plans and requirements specific to each country. Full training will be provided to ensure the successful applicant fully understands currency handling regulations, the hardware and software capabilities of each cash deposit and recycler device, and the systems used to track those projects.

What is a currency template?
A currency template is a banknote recognition software installed in an Automated Teller Machine deposit module, capable of counterfeit note detection and strict banknote handling requirements. Each country will have its own unique requirements for identification of currencies (both local and foreign exchange) identifying different types of banknote damage, counterfeit notes and in some cases a Central Bank Certification must be passed. This is a vital part of NCR Atleos' ability to sell banknote deposit and recycling hardware around the world in a timely and technically competent manner.
Job Requirements
* Project Planning and Management – guide and coordinate projects, including confirming requirements, resource, schedule, hardware, and performance, and working with internal/external developers to ensure the successful delivery of the bespoke software to each country
* Technical Guidance & Support – be capable of understanding the software and hardware applicable for note handling and provide a level template issue categorisation
* High level of communication skills – be able to adapt technical information for the relevant audience. Serving as the principal cornerstone at the centre of all communications between all relevant teams
* Project co‑ordination – managing multiple projects of varying complexity and stage of investigation at any given time with the principal focus on meeting customer requirements
Essential Skills
* Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to others where English is not their first language
* Ability to handle urgent incidents in an appropriate and effective manner
* Ability to review & understand technical data, such as log analysis and perform technical testing as required
* Self‑starting
* Willingness to travel on occasion if required, when permitted
* Capable of working in a team and independently
* Able to work to tight deadlines
* Ability to manage multiple incidents/requests at the same time
* Willingness to learn
Advantageous Skills
* Knowledgeable across related NCR deposit and recycler hardware and software products
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in a discipline related to project management or the product technology
* Minimum of 3 years related job experience (Project Management/technical support)
