Are you an experienced Buyer or Procurement Professional looking to take the next step into management? I’m currently supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Norwich who are seeking an Associate Purchasing Manager to join their supply chain team.
This role would suit someone with proven procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, confident in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and delivering value. It’s also an excellent development opportunity, with a clear pathway towards a full Purchasing Manager role.
The Role
Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, cost savings and compliance.
Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing agreements with key suppliers.
Monitor and deliver against procurement KPIs including inventory, cost savings and supplier performance.
Support and mentor a Buyer, helping to develop their skills and experience.
Work closely with colleagues across engineering, production, finance and customer service.
Lead on initiatives around sustainability, risk management and process improvement.About You
Previous experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing setting.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
Confident user of ERP/MRP systems with a focus on data accuracy.
Organised, results-driven and collaborative, with the ability to build positive supplier relationships.
Ambitious to progress into management – CIPS study support will be available if required.What’s on Offer
