Job Opportunity: Weekend Youth Support Workers
We are recruiting 6 Weekend Youth Support Workers to join our team in Children's Residential Care Homes.
We welcome individuals who may not have the relevant qualifications or experience, as we have a dedicated training department to support and train successful candidates. We believe that some of the best support workers are those with life experience and a desire to work within the care sector.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 21 who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse needs, including behavioural and emotional challenges. We seek individuals who are confident, understanding, patient, and skilled in working with these young people to make a positive impact.
This role involves providing guidance, interaction, and support within residential, educational, or independent living settings to create a safe environment addressing their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will support service users throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping. Please note that this position does not involve personal care.
We are seeking positive role models who are flexible, reliable, and engaging.
Full accredited training will be provided, including courses on Team Teach, Child Protection, First Aid (St Johns Ambulance), Understanding Sexualised Behaviour, Working with Self Harm, Cyberbullying, and Understanding Autism and ADHD.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check or provide a portable DBS and successfully complete our induction programme before placements are offered, unless already on the national DBS database.
