Responsibilities and Duties
* Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
* Lead and manage end-to-end procurement services on major projects or programmes.
* Support the development of procurement services.
* Lead and develop a team to achieve successful outcomes for clients.
* Manage client relationships, commissions, and deliverables.
* Support business development and marketing of the Contract Services team’s offerings.
* Lead bid preparation and proposal documentation, enhancing the work-winning capability of the division.
* Contribute to the delivery of team and business targets.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Knowledge of regulated procurement, especially Public Contract Regulations 2015, with awareness of potential regulatory changes.
* Experience leading strategic procurement projects for public and private sector clients.
* Strong background in tender preparation, development, management, and negotiation.
* Experience in client relationship management and team leadership.
* Familiarity with various contract forms, especially NEC and JCT.
* Cross-sector experience with a focus on public procurement is highly desirable.
* Experience working in defence, utilities, infrastructure, mining, oil & gas sectors.
* Security clearance would be advantageous.
* Ability to develop strategies and documentation compliant with public sector regulations.
* Proven ability to manage and supervise delivery teams for successful outcomes.
* Strong skills in building professional client relationships and resolving issues proactively.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* A degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement is preferred.
* MCIPS accreditation achieved or willingness to work towards it.
