Description What is my impact? As the General Manager for the UK & Ireland, you will lead all commercial, strategic, and operational activities across both markets. You’ll own the delivery of sales, margin, and market share goals while developing strategies that fuel sustainable growth. Working closely with the EMEAI Market Access team, you’ll shape reimbursement pathways and market access opportunities that expand adoption and accelerate revenue. You’ll analyse trends, anticipate competitive moves, and translate insights into clear commercial action. A key part of your impact will be building strong partnerships across customer networks, health systems, and industry stakeholders. You’ll champion new product introductions, strengthen relationships with senior leaders across the region, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent. Responsibilities What will I do? Leadership & Talent Development Build, inspire, and support a high-performing team, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous development. Provide coaching and feedback to help team members grow their skills, confidence, and impact. Financial Management & Business Results Lead the P&L and ensure clear visibility to commercial performance, KPIs, incentives, and profitability drivers. Translate insights into actions that achieve or exceed business targets. Strategy Development Create and execute market strategies aligned with global objectives—grounded in customer insights, competitive intelligence, and regional needs. Continuously evaluate strategy effectiveness and adjust where needed. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Represent the organisation with credibility and clarity across all levels. Engage directly with government bodies, trade associations, advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders to advance business priorities. Operations & Market Execution Maintain deep understanding of the UK & Ireland business environment, customer landscape, and regulatory frameworks. Lead successful product launches and ensure operational efficiency in partnership with the Operations Manager. Build and manage relationships with senior leaders across key accounts, purchasing groups, provider networks, and private-sector partners. Identify opportunities for performance improvement and champion execution of enhancements across the business. Contribute to European strategic planning and cross-market collaboration. Qualifications How will I get there? Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus. Extensive commercial leadership experience within the UK or Ireland, ideally in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or a similarly complex sector. Proven track record of driving revenue growth, market expansion, and commercial performance in regional or multi-country roles. Strong people leadership experience, with success building and developing inclusive, high-performing teams. Deep understanding of market dynamics, reimbursement systems, and customer needs across the UK & Ireland. Experience managing strategic accounts or customer groups, such as purchasing organisations, clinical networks, or health system partners. Ability to translate strategy into clear operational plans with measurable outcomes. Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement skills, including comfort presenting at an executive level or working with government/industry bodies. Ability to work collaboratively across sales, marketing, operations, finance, market access, and other cross-functional teams.
