Role: Transport Coordinator
Salary / Rate: A GBP 38,000 : A GBP 42,000

Key Responsibilities of the Transport Coordinator:
* Coordinate daily vehicle movements, including deliveries, collections, and inter:site part movements
* Liaise with drivers, vehicle movement companies, and internal departments
* Track vehicle movements and communicate delivery progress or delays to stakeholders
* Assist with route planning to improve efficiency and reduce transport costs
* Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, mileage, fuel usage, and condition reports
* Process delivery notes, vehicle handover documentation, and proof of delivery
* Update transport and fleet management systems with accurate data
* Prepare reports relating to vehicle movements, costs, and transport performance
* Support compliance with UK transport legislation, including DVSA and DVLA requirements
* Maintain fleet compliance records including MOTs, servicing, tax, insurance, and inspections
* Assist with monitoring driver licences, CPC records, and working hours for in:house drivers
* Support accident, damage, and incident reporting procedures
* Provide administrative support to the Transport Manager and wider operations team
Requirements of a Transport Coordinator
* Previous administrative experience, ideally within automotive, transport, or logistics environments
* Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Confident written and verbal communication skills
* Experience within automotive logistics, vehicle movements, or fleet administration is desirable
* Knowledge of UK transport regulations and vehicle compliance is advantageous
* Experience using transport or fleet management systems is beneficial
Hours and Pay:
Monday to Thursday 07:30:16:15 Friday 07:00 to 15:30
This is a temporary position for 6 months, made into a permanent position after.
