Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across various commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and replacing filters, and recordkeeping.
* Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues and perform necessary repairs.
* Test HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
* Ensure statutory compliance with F–Gas regulations.
* Install air conditioning systems as required.
* Produce detailed technical quotations, including parts and labor costs, to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
* Maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
* Keep detailed records of all maintenance work.
* Work flexible hours to meet business needs.
* Immediately escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager.
* Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota for emergency repairs.
* Collaborate with team members and liaise with subcontractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure efficient operation without disrupting clients.
Skills and Experience
* Experience with a range of air conditioning equipment, including VRVs, VRFs, and splits.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Proven expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
* Fault-finding experience on traditional and modern plant equipment.
* Ability to work safely and diligently.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning.
* FGAS Category 1 certification.
* Electrical qualifications are beneficial.
* IPAF/PASMA certification is advantageous.
* Valid UK driving license.
* Contract-specific vetting, including financial and employment background checks.
* Manufacturer courses or knowledge are desirable.
