Team administrator
Posted: 16 August
Offer description

Are you motivated to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people?

Swindon Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are looking for a part-time Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team.

If you have strong administrative experience, excellent communication skills across different formats, and the ability to interact sensitively with young people and their families during difficult times, you may be the person we're looking for. Emotional resilience and a calm, organised approach are essential.

As a CAMHS Team Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting both the Single Point of Access (SPA) clinical team and the Hospital Liaison team. Your work will include managing referrals, updating patient records, monitoring service processes, liaising with external services, and acting as the main administrative contact for these teams.

You'll be based in our large, shared office and work alongside a welcoming administration team who support a multidisciplinary group of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health practitioners. You'll also assist with wider team duties, such as booking appointments and greeting families at reception.

This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the care of young people by ensuring the smooth and efficient running of two key services.

Main duties of the job

* Contact young people or their parents/carers to book appointments and ensure outcome measures are completed in advance where possible.
* Process new referrals and accurately input patient details and treatment information into spreadsheets and electronic healthcare systems.
* Manage telephone calls, taking clear and accurate messages for clinicians and ensuring timely communication.
* Support clinicians by printing and preparing intervention materials for collection, and assist with pulling data from reporting systems when needed.

Please refer to the job description attached for a comprehensive list of duties.
