Main Responsibilities
 * Be a qualified Health Visitor and manage a designated caseload of children and families autonomously within the Integrated Early Years Service (Health Visiting & Family Support).
 * Work collaboratively with other agencies and provide high quality care to children and families.
 * Gather and analyse information to make informed assessments, appropriate referrals and contribute at case conferences and core group meetings.
 * Support public health initiatives in line with local and national priorities to promote, protect and improve health and reduce health inequalities.
Key Tasks
 * Use clinical judgement and risk assessment to keep people using our services as safe as possible.
 * Safeguard people by recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse, recognising limits and escalating concerns as necessary.
 * Escalate safety concerns and act as an advocate for service users.
 * Be open and transparent about own practice.
 * Supervise the work of others.
 * Reflect on everyday practice to identify areas for improvement.
 * Work with others to create a culture of continuous improvement.
 * Maintain accurate, legible and comprehensive records.
 * Maintain compliance with mandatory training requirements.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
 * Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team, present cases, take notes, update others and use handover effectively (face‑to‑face, telephone, written).
 * Maintain accurate, timely, concise and legible clinical records both electronic and handwritten, adhering to CNWL policies.
 * Work well with other team members: effective communication, kindness, reliability, enthusiasm.
 * Manage others and contribute to team management.
 * Mentor, teach and support others.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
 * Registered Nurse (NMC Registered).
 * Registered Specialist Practitioner Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor).
 * Evidence of relevant Continuous Professional Development.
Desirable Criteria
 * Mentorship Preparation Module/ENB 998/Practice Assessor.
 * Nurse Prescribing Qualification.
Previous Experience
Essential Criteria
 * Experience working with complex families.
 * Experience in multidisciplinary integrated team working.
 * Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing demands.
 * Knowledge of Safeguarding Children issues.
Attitudes & Personal Characteristics
 * Caring for people who use services, their families and carers.
 * Respectful of others and treating them with empathy.
 * Willing to work with service users, families and other staff to empower and support others.
 * Willingness to work in partnership with service users, friends and families, and healthcare professionals.
