We are searching for a Project Manager who will play a vital role in delivering a large-scale organisational transformation within a public sector environment. Reporting into the Programme Manager, this individual will join at the outset of the programme, supporting the definition, planning and delivery of a significant structural change involving the combination of two public sector organisations.
This role will be instrumental in shaping the project from the requirements-gathering phase through to implementation. Working closely with the Programme Manager and senior leadership team, the successful candidate will help define the scope, engage with comparable organisations that have undergone similar transitions, extract key learnings, and support the design and delivery of a people-focused change programme.
Responsibilities
* Lead project planning activities from early discovery and requirements-gathering through to delivery
* Support the Programme Manager in defining project scope, objectives and success criteria
* Engage with comparable public sector bodies to gather insight and best practice
* Organise and facilitate workshops with key stakeholders to shape programme direction
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines and governance documentation
* Identify, manage and mitigate risks and issues across the transformation lifecycle
* Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with senior leadership objectives
* Drive organisational and people change initiatives, ensuring stakeholder engagement at all levels
* Monitor progress against milestones, ensuring delivery remains aligned to programme objectives
* Provide regular reporting to the Programme Manager and senior leadership team
