We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Programme Manager in Cambridge, UK.
Job purpose
To manage and co-ordinate projects across the SMC Pharma Services division, through to successful completion, on time and within budget. Is also the first point of contact for the customer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Integrate and further implement PMO processes into the division
2. Implement and manage adoption of Celoxis across the division.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives, and to agree deliverables with customers.
4. Manage scope change and risk management.
5. Develop project plans with relevant cross-functional teams including key project deliverables, budget, milestones and resource requirements
6. Provide regular project updates to internal teams, customers and stakeholders, ultimately ensuring on time delivery of project milestones
7. Ensure that any issues that may impact project plans are identified in a timely manner and are communicated to the management team. Lead problem solving initiatives and assess any impact on the project plans and resource requirements.
8. Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector
9. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
10. Actively manage project resources and effectively allocate tasks to project team members Responsible for Health & Safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors by ensuring that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Experience/Skills needed to fulfil the role
11. Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management
12. Proven experience in successfully managing projects within the pharma and/or biotech industries is an advantage
13. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and can demonstrative situational leadership to drive projects forward
14. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
15. Knowledgeable about project management tools and software
16. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
17. Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
18. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
19. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively
20. Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
21. Familiarity with regulatory aspects of the pharmaceutical industry would be desirable
Qualifications required
22. Qualification (Level 5 or above) in project management / business admin or demonstrative experience in project management
Interface with other departments/communication internal & external
23. Liaise with all internal functions and personnel.
24. Interface with customers
25. Manage project based external suppliers
