We’re looking for an Underwriter to join our Group Protection Retail team. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while helping us grow our business. 1. Assessing risk and setting pricing in line with underwriting guidelines
2. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers
3. Collaborating with colleagues to meet shared financial and service goals
4. Managing your workload to meet deadlines and communicating effectively when needed
5. Supporting your own development by learning new skills and following your personal development plan
6. Staying informed about new products, team updates, and business developments
7. Ensuring customers receive clear, timely information to manage their policies
8. Prioritising service for customers making changes, claims, or complaints
QualificationsWho we're looking for:
9. Experience in underwriting or a related financial services role
10. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
11. Confidence in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
12. Ability to adapt and stay motivated in a fast-paced environment
13. A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals
14. A proactive approach to personal development and learning
15. Understanding of Group Protection products and regulations
16. Commitment to treating customers fairly and upholding high ethical standards
