Biology Academic Mentor What the School Offers Hands-on classroom experience supporting KS3-KS5 Biology Ongoing CPD including subject-specific and pedagogy training High-quality mentoring and support from experienced teachers Opportunities to lead small group or 1:1 interventions Future pathways into teacher training for strong candidates Biology Academic Mentor What the Role Involves Supporting Biology students across KS3 to KS5 Working alongside the science department to deliver targeted academic interventions Assisting pupils in grasping complex scientific concepts through tailored support Providing exam preparation and revision support, especially for GCSE and A-Level cohorts Contributing to the wider school community through clubs, enrichment, or sixth-form study skills support Interviews to commence from late August 2025 Biology Academic Mentor What the School is Looking For Were seeking a high-achieving Biology or Life Sciences graduate from a top 30 UK university, with a minimum 2:1 degree. Previous experience working with young people in an academic setting is highly desirable, though not essential. Strong communication skills, subject confidence, and a proactive attitude are key. This role would suit an aspiring science teacher or educational psychologist looking to build experience in a school environment.
