Project Manager – Environment (Scotland)
Location: East of Scotland (from Fife to Aberdeen)
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join Galliford Try in the East of Scotland. Join one of the UK’s leading construction groups as we deliver transformative infrastructure projects across Scotland. We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead short-term environmental projects (up to £250K in value) across the East of Scotland. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the communities you serve—while playing a key role in one of the country’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead the successful delivery of multiple civil/environmental projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
* Oversee project performance across health & safety, quality, financials, and environmental compliance.
* Lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors, driving high performance and continuous development.
* Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with KPIs.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure full compliance with RAMS and environmental legislation.
* Work hands-on with the senior leadership team to help grow and develop our in-house delivery capability.
About you:
We’re seeking someone who is technically strong and passionate about environmental infrastructure and community improvement.
* A relevant ONC/HNC/BEng or NVQ-level qualification in construction, civil engineering, or related field.
* SMSTS (CITB 5-day Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
* CSCS card and relevant H&S certification (e.g., IOSH).
* Experience in water, wastewater, or civil infrastructure is advantageous.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Project and Office.
* A proactive, collaborative approach with a track record of leading teams to success.
