Salary: £36,363 - £46,142 per annum.
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week.
Location: Family Safeguarding - Fylde & Wyre (Office based in Fleetwood).
International Sponsorship: Not open to international sponsorship.
Position: Experienced Children's Social Worker in Family Safeguarding Team.
About the Role
Our Family Safeguarding Teams consist of domestic abuse officers, domestic abuse practitioners, child and family practitioners and mental health practitioners. In this role you will support children and families in a fast‑paced environment, working as part of a multi‑agency team delivering intervention to children and their families.
Responsibilities
* Deliver interventions to children and families as part of a multi‑agency team.
* Engage with children and parents using a collaborative approach, supporting the Family Safeguarding model.
* Conduct core Child in Need and Child Protection work following a Motivational Interviewing approach.
* Maintain manageable caseloads and support work‑life balance.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Experience as a social worker, ideally with a children and family/social care background.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and in a fast‑paced environment.
* Willingness to provide a car for use in connection with duties and be insured for business use.
Training and Development
New recruits will attend the Social Work Academy, including induction, recall days and ASYE training, led by Practice Development Managers to maintain high standards of practice.
