The Hoxton, Shoreditch is where The Hoxton was born. Originally a car park, it now offers 210 rooms, The Apartment, our meetings & events concept, and two restaurants, Llama Inn and Bambini.
Il Bambini Club is coming to London! Born in Paris and inspired by the joy and generosity of Italian living, Bambini is a vibrant trattoria that blends playful elegance with a sunny, festive spirit. Known for its iconic pizza oven, live music, and bold design, it’s a joyful escape into the world of colourful aperitivos, shared feasts, and carefree celebration. Job Description
What you’ll do…
1. Lead the breakfast service, crafting high-quality morning dishes that range from classic favourites to modern, health-conscious options.
2. Work closely with the Head Chef to plan and evolve the breakfast menu, keeping it fresh, seasonal, and full of character.
3. Manage ingredients with care—ordering, storing, and rotating stock to keep everything fresh and reduce waste.
4. Cook and plate with precision and flair, balancing speed with attention to detail.
5. Maintain top-notch food hygiene and safety standards across the kitchen.
6. Collaborate with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
7. Occasionally interact with guests, especially in open-kitchen settings, catering to special requests and dietary needs.
8. Keep a close eye on quality—tasting, tweaking, and presenting dishes that wow every time.
9. Stay cool under pressure, managing time and solving problems as they arise.
10. Create a positive, supportive environment where your team can be themselves and do their best work.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for…
11. Individuals who bring personality and professionalism to the kitchen—you’re confident in your craft and comfortable being yourself.
12. Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef or in a similar role within a busy, quality-driven kitchen environment.
13. Strong skills in breakfast cookery, from classic egg techniques and pastry work to modern, health-conscious dishes.
14. A sharp eye for detail, ensuring every plate looks great and tastes even better.
15. Solid understanding of food hygiene and safety standards, with relevant certifications.
16. Organised and efficient, able to manage prep, service, and stock with calm precision—even during the morning rush.
17. Creative flair, bringing fresh ideas to the menu while staying true to the brand’s style and guest expectations.
18. Team player with great communication skills—you work well with others and help create a positive kitchen culture.
19. Problem-solver who can think on your feet and adapt quickly to changing needs or unexpected challenges.
20. Passionate about mornings, food, and hospitality—you know that breakfast sets the tone for the day and you love making it special.
