Control Systems Commissioning Engineer
Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for control systems and automation? Join UK Power Networks as a Control Systems Commissioning Engineer and be part of a team dedicated to making our control systems world-class.
In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of the SCADA system, including RTU commissioning and fault management. You will work within the Strategy Regulation and Support Services directorate, based in our Fore Hamlet, Ipswich office.
This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £65,241.00, a 3% bonus, and the flexibility of blended working after a 6-month probationary period.
As a Control Systems Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining RTU availability, managing SCADA faults, and supporting new control system functionalities. You will collaborate with various teams to improve safety, application performance, innovation, data accuracy, and usability. Your efforts will help reduce customer interruptions and support quality of supply initiatives.

Qualifications:
* Relevant industry experience
* Ideally minimum of ONC Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent), HNC or equivalent
Knowledge:
* Of the distribution network from LV to 132kV including SCADA, Protection, and working practices
* Of Control System RTU integration including DNP3, WISP+ and other industry protocols
* Good understanding of the network control function
* Background in commissioning and testing is beneficial
* Good understanding of Ofgem Guaranteed and Overall Standards and the Regulatory framework
