Locum Social Worker - Family Safeguarding Team

The local authority has roles available in Rawtenstall, Pendle, Lancaster, Fleetwood, Chorley, Skelmersdale, Preston & Accrington.

The Role:
As a Social Worker within the Family Safeguarding Team, you'll work with families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Your role will involve:
* Assessing and supporting families to safeguard children and reduce risk
* Managing a mixed caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection work
* Collaborating with partner agencies to deliver joined-up, effective interventions
* Undertaking court work when required, with full support from your Practice Development and Team Managers
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
* 1-3 years' experience in a similar children's social work setting
* The ability to manage a complex and varied caseload effectively
* A child-focused, relationship-based approach to practiceSound understanding of safeguarding procedures, risk management, and statutory responsibilities
* A collaborative and resilient mindset, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team
