AtCarnell, we deliver specialist maintenance and support services to keep the UK’s road networksafe, efficient, and sustainable. We’re growing—and we’re looking for a Payroll Assistant to ensure accurate and timely payroll process.
What You’ll Do
* Assisting with the end-to-end payroll process using Miracle Pay
* Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll-related queries
* Auditing and checking private mileage, overtime, and lodge payment
* Processing documentation such as P45s, P60s, P11Ds and supporting the year-end process
* Handling statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP) and pension contributions
* Managing Attachment of Earnings and other deductions
* Staying up to date with payroll legislation
* Supporting on various payroll-related projects and administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in a similar role
* Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach
* Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
